Turns out I *can* get FIOS now, despite not having basic phone service back yet. The super told me this morning that someone in the building just got it. He did try to sell me on an upgraded phone plan, but it was a fairly soft sell, and he was honest enough to tell me that the price he quoted didn't include taxes. I just emailed Verizon again about the bounced emails (a few trickled few, but the vast majority bounced). Any bets on whether it'll help? (Personally, I'll be surprised if they even acknowledge my query.)

Aaaaaaaand, it's been three days and I still haven't heard from Verizon. So much for getting back to me "within one business day."

But at least I'm getting my emails.
